Fresh Air

Twisted and knarled, and yet so beautiful

Stone stepping thru melted snow

My wings are broken, my heart is not

I am so many things

Springing toward Spring

Best friend EVER

Falling out of winter; begging for the first kiss of spring
Twisted and knarled, and yet so beautiful
Stone stepping thru melted snow
My wings are broken, my heart is not
I am so many things
Springing toward Spring
Best friend EVER

Great photos ~ the perfect captions. Best friend ever is just as it should be :-) but the words of “Twisted and knarled, and yet so beautiful” are the perfect contradiction that life throws at us at times. Cheers!

Thank you. After a week of four separate snow, sleet, rain and mix, the sunshine and fresh air begged out entry into the beautiful freshness of air and light.

My first trip to Venice in 2008 I took a private photography tour (Mike and his wife Karen are now good friends) and one of the things he taught me was to get closer than you think you need to. You don’t need to get everything in the frame. Getting closer is what makes a simple pumpkin stem or what many would consider leaf litter a work of art!

Thanks for the tip! I have problems with my vision, I’ve always used the macro as an aid.
I love looking at artistic photographs. I was a food blogger once upon a time, I happened across the site, userealbutter.com
It’s food porn!

After days of dark clouds, light snow, sleet and heavy rain, I wandered outside to find all things crisp, clean and beautiful. The most wonderful part of getting older is the appreciation we have for things we once simply ignored, or cast off as trivial.
Have a beautiful day! ☕️
