Thankful

Thanksgiving, a time to review our lives and give thanks for our many blessings.  And this year is especially poignant.  Our family was blessed with abundance and Grace.

My father-in-law was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, and this past Christmas was given one to three months to live.  God willing, Thanksgiving Day we will be sharing and rejoicing in his company.

As our Country moves through these challenging times, I am reminded of our gift of freedom.  Let us rejoice and give thanks to every man and woman who has fought to defend our right to live in peace.   Yes, we have many obstacles before us, but let us never forget to be mindful that united, hand-in-hand, we are capable of overcoming what some may believe is impossible.  Let us stand with our friends, around the world, knowing that the evil among us are not to be feared.  Thankful and grateful are we that love has no border, cannot be confined, and will always lead us to Peace.

Thank you for following me on my journey.  I am blessed by your presence.  Happy Thanksgiving to all, no matter what day of the year you set aside to collectively come together in gratitude.

☕️❤️

    • Hi Amy! Thank you for your note and your special thoughts. I am thankful Dad is at peace. Such a wonderful gift I received when I married his son over forty years ago. I have not one unpleasant memory!

Tragedy struck twice. The day after dads passing I would learn that one of my relatives had passed. This passing caused me a time of great reflection, it had been quite some time, and circumstances had not been joyful at our last meeting. But God grants us wisdom, opens our eyes to Truth and I walk forward in thanks to His holiness for lighting my path of understanding.

I will return to blog one day. Right now I am tying up loose ends and transitioning thru a few life changes.

I hope your store is doing well. I would love for you to continue keeping me updated on your work. You can reach me thru my email or thru the blog.

      Love and Peace,
      ❤️

    • Your kindness is so thoughtful, Robert. Thank you.

I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now we head down the final stretch of 2015. I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year. So much I want to do, but there seems to be such a rush to fulfill my many wants. I love to bake for friends, love to decorate the house, and enjoy wrapping up the treats, but it is also the time of year where I am reminded of how much I miss the loved ones that live so far away.

I hope your week is going well. I’m anxious to catch up on my reading. Time is zooming past at a super-sonic pace it seems.

    • Thank you Sharon. I’m hoping you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving, too. As usual, I ate too much. ;(

Dad managed to sit at the table with us, but soon went for a nap. He sleeps most of the days away, but the pain meds are doing that, I think.

Thank you for thinking of us. It’s always so nice to see you drop-in. ☕️❤️

    • Happy visits with the children. Wonderful! I’m glad you were distracted from the news. Sometimes I simply have to turn my television off and pick up my hand sewing. It’s good to be away from hearing the somber news reports. Love and hugs, Nia! ☕️❤️
