No Hits, No Runs, No Errors…

We were ready for game day…

Oops! Rained out, flooded in and wondering….when?

Doug is out. He was benched one too many times.

Batting and pitching practice were a washout.

Scoreless.

What car? Where’s my car? Where’s your car? Who took my parking sticker? (This gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, “We towed your car.”)

I wrote this post with a bit of jovial jesting, but want everyone to know that my prayers and thoughts are with everyone affected by weather concerns this year, whether it be from: drought, heavy snowfall, flooding, earthquakes, hurricanes or any other natural disaster.

Humor is one of my coping mechanisms.

We are all in this together, no matter where we live. Take care of your neighbor, your family and your friends. Life is a beautiful thing; sometimes I am guilty of taking it for granted. And then a reminder comes along…

- Thank you, Amy. Another round of heavy storms came thru in the late evening, early morning hours. The forecast for next week should bring us sunshine. We’ve had 20 plus days of rainfall throughout this month.

And I think of you every time the nightly (or morningly) news shows all that flooding in Texas and wonder if your lovely garden is under water.

  So far my only losses have been a few flowers. I am so fortunate. I do need to mow the grass, or buy me a few baby goats, though. ;)
