Dear Margie, please accept my condolences on the loss of your beloved Hannah. I’ve missed you and hope to hear from you again. Be well, my friend, be well.
Hi sweet friend. I hope this finds you happy and doing well. Hannah’s passing came as such a shock. She had been down with an infection, but went into respiratory failure. I had to make the decision to have her euthanized. She passed away in mid-July. I have never felt such a deep loss, and my whole world has been shaken to its core. I’ve missed all of my kind followers. I’ve been communicating with a group of 24 youth that are part of an initiative called, Bridging Stories; 12 youth from Armenia and 12 from Turkey. Most have now gone on to further their educations. At least one is in the United States studying for a semester. Many have had their photography posted on the NYT’s and other known papers and magazines. It’s been an absolute joy to see two very different cultures come together to work toward understanding their countries differences. This is part of a National Geographic program, the brainchild of a John Stanmeyer.
Don’t ever think that I’ve forgotten you. Each friend has a place in my heart. I thank all of you for lending your thoughts toward this heavy loss. Over the next few days I will write to each friend. Thank you so much for being here during this heartbreaking time. And Sharon, I would love to read your work. I hope you’ve been published. Your talent is tremendous.
